Young Israel is a cute boy, but not exactly bright. Deacon Johnsyn put me in charge of teaching him the Bible. I don’t think it’s a matter of him not wanting to learn. He just has a hard time keeping information in his head. I’m the second Deacon, behind Deacon Johnsyn. I don’t really mind that. Deacon Johnsyn and Pastor Cali have been best friends since they were kids. I’m just grateful they chose me to help do the Lord’s work here at Fruits of Life.At least for now, though, they get to baptize and bless the new young men joining our flock. I can’t deny sometimes I feel some unchristian envy, standing to the side witnessing these boys being welcomed into our congregation. Israel Angel was a particular temptation.
